Opening spring 2027

Be first to hear when we open

An Torran Hideaway is taking shape in Callander. Sign up for news on opening and booking dates, and the occasional offer, as we get ready to welcome our first guests.

The idea

A little further from the everyday

On the edge of Callander, with the hills of the Trossachs close by, An Torran Hideaway is a place to step away from the usual pace of life.

Arrive, settle in and make yourself at home. Spend the day exploring, wander into town or do very little at all.

The landscape and the changing light set the scene. Inside, considered design and real comforts make it easy to slow down.

The pods

Wild outside, cosy inside

Inside a pod: a cream sofa with green and rose cushions in front of a lit oak-slat screen, and the bedroom beyond under the curved ceiling

Made for switching off.

The pods sit among the trees, with a view out across the fields to the hills.

Warm materials, natural colours and small details that make a difference. A king-size bed, your own kitchen and shower room, and somewhere comfortable to settle when the evening draws in.

Whether you're heading out for the day or staying in, An Torran Hideaway gives you room to make the stay your own.

  • King-size bed

Room to stretch out after a day outdoors.

  • Sofa bed

Folds out into a small double when you need it.

  • Your own kitchen

Compact and well thought out, with a hob, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and a coffee maker.

  • Your own shower room

Inside the pod, just for you.

  • A fire at the end of the bed

A warm glow to settle down to in the evening.

  • Film night from bed

A TV facing the bed, so you can settle in for a film without leaving the covers.

  • Private parking

Your own space on site, so you can arrive and unload with no fuss.

  • Secure bike storage

Somewhere safe to lock up your bike after a day on the trails.

The setting

In the Trossachs

Set within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, An Torran Hideaway is a base for exploring the hills, lochs and trails of this part of Scotland.

Walk or cycle from the door. National Cycle Route 7 is three minutes away by bike, and Loch Lubnaig and Loch Venachar are each an eight-minute drive, for wild swimming or a wander by the water.

Callander is 15 minutes on foot, with independent shops, cafés and places to eat. Closer still, there are Highland cows to say hello to, just an 11-minute walk away.

Wildlife is never far away. Look out for red kites overhead, deer in the fields and red squirrels in the trees, along with an abundance of birds, from house martins to nuthatches.

You're welcome to visit our rescue hens too. We'll leave you some corn, so you can feed them during your stay.

At night it's dark enough out here that, on the clearest nights, the northern lights sometimes appear over the fields.

For stocking up, there's a Tesco a 12-minute walk away and a Co-op a little further on. Most guests pass both on the way in.

Then come back to your own hideaway and take the evening at your own pace.
